These doormats are meant for decorative use. Excessive boot/shoe wiping will cause the design to fade faster. Mats must be kept under a covered area away from direct rain or snowfall to prolong the life of the mat and design. If the mat is saturated with water the fibres will darken.
The mats are made from coco husks which will naturally shed small fibres. Please note each rug may have variances in colour, shade and/or texture. There may be larger pieces within the mat as they are made out of coconut husks. The mats have an anti-slip latex backing, perfect for keeping it in place during use.
To clean debris or fibres simply shake with two hands or vacuum.
